Zuiderdam Venice to Barcelona "Ancient Worlds" 24 days Sept 17b - Oct 11 2008

Just checking if any one out there is on board with us...This cruise leaves from Venice and ends in Barcelona and is 24 days, although they have split it so that people can book 12 days in the front or the 12 days on the back. We're on for the entire 24.

Hope some of you are on board...

Hi. I'm not on your cruise, but here is a link to a thread of someone looking for someone on this cruise. I hope you 2 meet up. I posted a link to this roll call on that thread, too. Happy sailing.

I am assuming that you are not arriving in Venice early but are going directly to the ship.

Have you pulled up the excursions for Venice that are offered by the Zuiderdam?

Depending on what time the Zuiderdam is scheduled to leave Venice will determine what tours will be offered. We would not recommend the Gondola tours -- they are over priced!!! Especially since they are usually offered in the evening and most of the tour goes through dark canals.

If you can - take the water taxi over to St Mark's plaza -- there is a lot to see there - Basilica - art work - souvenir shops -- lots of streets to roam around.

A couple of times we took the ships tour out to the Murano Glass factory -- if you are interested in glass works.
