This will be my first out of Galveston and my first on Voyager of the Seas , anyone else going ??

Happy Cruising in the New Year

My DH and I are going on the 3/6/11. We are arriving in Houston on 3/5 to see my neice & her family. Also have the entire day after we get back so we are renting a car just to let it sit at the Holiday Inn Express since they have free parking & a shuttle. The cost of getting to Galveston is pretty hefty when you consider other similar areas, like Florida & California!

I am flying into Hobby Airport , I am still looking for a good way to get to Galveston ,at a good price

You don't say if you are flying in early, figure you are or could take the cruise shuttle. I have been researching this for a couple of months! Super Shuttle runs, but you have to wait while it picks people up. Might not be an issue since Hobby is such a small airport.

I understand Enterprise you can rent a car for $69, drive to Galveston, and drop there, though the office is closed. I believe you have to call the Galveston office to set that up.

Some rent a car for the week & get free parking then take the car back the next week. It can be cheaper than the transportation to/from.

I am flying in a day early and leaving the day after the cruise , we are staying at the Quality Inn Hobby Airport the day before and the day after the Cruise....Thank You for the imformation.

We are in a JS on the 10th and have the second seating for dinner. We have not done the my time dining before. We are using Victor Bodden for a zipline & tour in Roatan, Honduras and going to a resort in Cozumel for an all day beach with food, drinks, etc. Have not decided on Belize but will probably do a ship tour that is not an all day. Just amazed to get DH to do the zipline. Perhaps we will meet up on this great ship!

Do to some changes in plans since the Mardi Gras parade is March 5, we decided to not rent a car. We have a limo service round trip now with a very good rate. I am ready for this cruise to begin!
