Yes, I'm sure there must be a few of us since the number of cabins available seem to be very low for this long before the cruise. I'm leaving NJ on the 24th (don't trust the airlines) and staying all the way to Sydney. I have also booked the HAL post cruise 5 day package so will be returning to US on 11/12. This will be my first cruise after retirement so am really looking forward to rest and FUN.

    See Ya Aboard!

    Hi Sparty1,
Where in the US are you starting from? I'm based in NJ so have decided to fly out to LA a day early to be certain there are no plane issues. All of my previous cruises have been on the East coast, most from NYC, so am a bit nervous about making the ship. I'm also a bit nervous about the "guarantee" stateroom situation, but I guess that comes with the HAL territory in a lot of cases.

hi, we will be flying from MI. don't have flight to LAX yet. hope to get frequent flyer tix. We usually fly in same day if embarkation is late, but we have gone night b4 also. Especially if you don't take HAL air to LAX, it is wise to go ahead of time.. the way the airlines are doing now, we maybe should do the same!

we are also on the "guarantee" situation. never did this b4 either. I understand it usually works out better, if you weren't able to secure a midship cabin. apparently, HAL gives "guarantees" priority for best available cabin after a certain time. let's keep our fingers crossed. HAL is good company so I wouldn't worry too much.

    c ya, sparty1
