    Problem with the Vision ?????

Apparently there is a problem with the Vision.........late getting into San Pedro on the 12th......and late sailing out on the 12th........took an extra day to get to Cabo and missed PV altogether........must not be too serious because it still sailed.

I will see what details I can find..........

Jim, did they say what the problem is??
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

In reading........the Captain said one of the engines fried a main power cable before entering PV......(cruise of the 5th).........as a result, they couldn't cruise back at full speed.

Those on the 12th sailing were offered $100pp shipboard credit, $150pp if you were in a suite or a full refund if taken by the 11th.........for the 12th sailing they set Cabo and Mazatlan back a day and skipped PV altogether..and the ship left 3 hours later. RC also provided for those on the 5th sailing free internet access so they could change flights etc....since they would be getting into San Pedro late. Apprently arrived Sunday morning around 10:30am instead of 7am

Once parts are secured.......the Captain said it would take 3 days to repair........no word yet on the 19th sailing...........

Sounds very fair for the 12th sailing........

Didn't she have a knackered propeller shaft bearing not so long ago that has recently been sorted out?

She doesn't have tizzypods, just the old fashioned (and better IMO) shafts and propellers.

Website shows PV will now be skipped through the Feb. 26th sailing.

4 sea days and Cabo and Mazatlan set back a day.........2 sea days in front and 2 sea days back to LA.........

thats a lot of sea days for a short distance to sail

one of the members of my roll call for my july cruise is on this cruise on the 19th. she's flying in from the east coast. its a bit of a bummer for them, but hey, at least they're cruising, right?

I agree with you Jim. That sounded like fair compensation.

If I had to miss one of the three ports.... PV would be the one! Let us know what you find out. Wouldn't they have to put her in drydock to fix?
