They also had a Western night on the Vision and there were quite a few wearing jeans, including me. What I didn't appreciate was the number of people that were in the dining room on a formal night that were not wearing ties...some with pull over shirts (polo and tee) and if not mistaken I think I saw a few in jeans with ties (go eat in the buffet that night).

They had a Western Night?? I guess I missed that .........now that is laid back.

Bill I guess I'm just too mellow anymore..........what somebody else wears doesn't bother me in the least...........

SB...I can appreciate jeans in the dining room as well if the "theme" permits, but you're right that t-shirts on formal night is TACKY!!! :thumbsdow

Himm...small bar and the worst wait staff I've ever encountered on a cruise ship (August 2003), basically no entertainment, and can't stay in there during the day because of the constant art auctions and bingo. I just can't imagine why it was "underutilized"....

On both Vision and Rhapsody, I would have to say this is actually the most mis-managed/utilized space. (IMHO)

Unless I have my lounges mixed up..........(which is possible)..........I just got off the Vision 3 weeks ago..........this lounge area (sorta behind the Schooner Bar, if it is the one I'm thinking about)

Wasn't used for anything..............certainly no art auctions.......bingo and entertainment was in the Some Enchanted Evening Lounge at the far end of the Schooner Bar...........

I believe you have your lounges mixed up...........but would agree with you on the Enchanted Evening Lounge

You're right - I did have it mixed up, I was thinking of the one in back. This one doesn't even have a bar in it (but the wait staff can go in the back door of the Schooner Bar to serve drinks if they want). They don't staff and utilize either of these fully, which is why I am not surprised when there is no one in there (especially in the day) and everyone is packed in the Schooner Bar.

You are correct Jim. It is on the port side where the Schooner is starboard. It is more used as a passageway than anything else.

I quess I will have to make a detailed report when I sail on her right after the drydock. We will be on the 3 day coming our followed by the 7 day. I should be able to post while onboard.

I REALLY hope they convert the C&A lounge.

You will be the first, unless there are others on this board to file a report after dry dock........

    Your information will be invaluable............

    Look forward to your report.

By the way, we forgot how GREAT vision class ships are.........we throughly enjoyed the Vision and rank this in our top 3 cruises to date.........we are planning some type of reunion cruise with our group on the same ship and itinerary...........date to be determined.

I am still looking at booking the Vision.... love the info!

I might have missed this, but didn't I read somewhere that they are also going to convert the pools to freshwater?
