I will answer for Lars. Yes it looks like it will mess things up for him. He may end up taking a train. We should know tonight what is going on. Poor guy.

We could take the train from Hamburg to Lisbon via half of Europe but I am not sure if I want to pay 1000,- for doing it tho....plus adding the cost og getting to hamburg....
It aint worth it but we are not giving up and we might get to Lisbon in time.

We are trying to change our flight plans to go to Madrid, instead of through Paris.
We would have to find our own way to Lisbon.

any sugestions?

To let you know, Lars and "A" left this afternoon to find an alternative route to the cruise. Hopefully, everyone will arrive in time for sailaway!

We are getting into Madrid early Saturday on a direct flight from Atlanta, taking Aireuropa to Lisbon late in the day.
(long layover)

We heard from Lars...they are now in Oslo and checking out train schedules.

At this point in time, it doesn't look good for air travel from where they are.

I hope we don't get stuck when the cruise ends on 4/27.

We heard from Lars this morning. I certainly do hope there is no problem for you when you disembark! You might have an extended vacation!

We have now moved to a downtown Oslo hotel and have decided to stay here until monday when we will go home.
Unless a miracle happens tomorrow or monday morning....I doubt it......imagine th chaos when they open the air space again....our flight is canceled and who knows when there will be an available flight from Olso to Lisbon.

well, nothing we can do about it but use words not fit for printing and order another drink and toast the vulcano and Iceland
