Thread: September 5 2009 - Vision OTS - Norwegian Fjords.

We booked this 5 days short break to the Norwegian Fjords yesterday.

September 5: Copenhagen
September 6: at sea
September 7: Bergen
September 8: Geiranger
September 9: at sea
September 10: Copenhagen.


We are flying in to Copehangen September 4.

Anyone else going on this cruise???

Ikea, right!!! yeah, well, I aired the idea to "A" and he almost fainted saying "are we going on a cruise just so we can shop at Ikea in Bergen. I dont think so!!!"

Lars, I'm so envious. You know how much I want to go back to Norway! We're keeping our eyes out for an affordable cruise there. Sigh, maybe someday...

I bought a beautiful sweater in Bergen.

Now that RCI has added the Norwegian Fjords I am sure we will make the trip. It is a dream of mine to make this sailing. Give us a good report and some photographs. The family in the USA are putting on some pressure for us visit them next year so it may be 2011.

Lee, I will post a trip report and pictures The Vision of the seas will be doing a series of 5 days cruises to the Fjords next year also in adition to a 2 weeks cruise to the Fjords and Northern Norway.
For a real Norway cruise this one is to short. WIth only 5 days and 2 ports you only get to see very little. For a "I need to go cruising before I go crazy" , well, then 5 days are perfect

We have no plans for tours on this cruise what so ever.
We will be walking around Bergen and might be going ashore in Geiranger to leave some laundry at my sisters place

You are right 5 day is good for a quick fix and a stop at IKEA but the 2 week would be a dream. Lee

Well, I guess Ikea was a joke There are so many other lovely things to see in Bergen if the weather holds up.


Filled in all the info for the SeaPasses yesterday, only have to print them out now

Still have to book our flight and hotel!!! I guess I will do that next week.
