If you have sailed on Holland America ships you are familiar with the Dessert Extravaganza that they put on once a week. This is a picture essay of that dietary delight.

Depending on the ship the Extravaganza is put on in the afternoon or the evening. We prefer the evening ones best.

The Dessert staff puts a lot of time and effort into the preparation and presentation of their work and it shows. The tasts are fantastic.

You may be able to find better desserts somewhere else but these are some of the best that we have observed and consumed, and consumed, and consumed,

There is a special area for diabetic and low calorie desserts too

My only complaint about our dessert buffet on the Veendam is that none of the servers understood the meaning of "Can I have a SMALL piece, please!". They wanted to give out humongous slices of everything.

I am going to have to try the slipper idea. It is a worthy of spreading to everyone!

Wall Mart is just starting to get their christmas selection of slippers.

They are the best local site that I have found to purchase slippers

Thanks for the pointer. All I have to do is find a Wal-Mart ..
