In New Westminster, a suburb of Vancouver, is a hotel called Inn at the Quay.
They have a lovely restaurant with very good food. The bar does well too.

Great idea Alisa

Does anyone have a great restaurant they can recommend at Canada Place? We will be staying at the Pan Pacific at Canada Place. We are going up Saturday afternoon and the cruise will leave on SUnday and we would like to have a very nice dinner someplace close.

Lisa, I will check this for you tomorrow. My head office is in Vancouver, and they spend all the money I make for them at nice restaurants. If I forget(age-you know), remind me.

Lisa, The Lift has been recommended. It is a 5 minute cab ride from Pan Pacific.
This comes from my President...who probably never eats at home. It is next to the Westin Bayshore.

Lisa - here is a restaurant I have heard mixed reviews on...

There is a restaurant at the top of the Lookout! at Harbour Centre Tower. At the top of the tower you get a 360 degree view of Vancouver. If you go up at night its beautiful.

I've heard some people say that the restaurant is good, others not so good.

I've never been, so I can't say. But I've been up the tower a few times and view can't be beat!

The restaurant in the Harbour Towers is nice, but touristy. If you want a good view (without the touristy prices) check out the "Cloud9" restaurant at the top of the Empire Landmark on Robson.

Here are my top 10 restaurants in Vancouver (all are excellent):

- Stephos (Davie St.) Greek Food
- The Naam (4th Ave) 24 hour Vegetarian Food
- Tsunami (Robson) Sushi
- Cactus Club (Robson, Broadway) Burgers and HOT waitresses!
- Cloud 9 (Robson) Great view...not too expensive
- Hamburger Mary's (Davie) Burgers, Gay friendly (I'm straight, but for those who aren't...)
- Jupiter (Davie) Lounge, Great atmosphere, good music
- Earl's (Robson) Western Canada's best chain restaurant
- White Spot (Robson) A BC tradition
- Granville Diner (Granville) Sleazy neighbourhood...great breakfasts

The Naam is the only one I make a point of going to EVERY time I am in Vancouver. The Dragon Bowl is AMAZING, and the food is healthy and delicious. It's been open everyday, 24 hours a day for over 25 years. They've got it down to an art. Service is slow, but it's worth it.

M Restaurant was fantastic. It's right on the Harbor and has seating outside along the water. The entire wall is all glass as well so even if you sit inside you get a great view. It was really a great evening. A little pricey but excellent food and service.
