Do you know the way to Vancouver?
Airfare into Vancouver is generally more expensive than into Seattle.
Transfers are available from Seattle to Vancouver and the cruise port,
hopefully it will be Canada Place.
Amtrak also serves Vancouver with both train and bus connections from Seattle. Amtrak serves Seattle with direct service from Los Angeles and intermediate points on the Coast Starlight. Service is also available from Chicago on the Empire Builder.
These trains offer sleeping cars with various classes of bedrooms available and also have lounge car and dining car service. Coach service is also available, but I wouldn't suggest that for overnight travel.
VIA Rail in Canada also serves Vancouver with 3 times weekly direct service from Toronto. The "Canadien" is one of the most spectacular trains I've ever been on, both in service and scenery.
I have traveled almost almost a quarter of a million miles on Amtrak and VIA Rail and would be glad to provide more info and answer any questions about the services available.
Now you all know why my handle is Reggierail.
