favourite things to do in Vancouver/Victoria?

Mom and I leave for Vancouver/Victoria B.C. in a couple of weeks and I was curious what your favourite things there to do are?

    My must do list is:
    Vancouver:
    Stanley Park
    The Aquarium
    China Town
    Gas town
Ikea ( we dont have one here )
    The Bridge

    Victoria:
    The BC Museum
    Butchart Gardens
the rink personal deal there LOL
Theres a great coffee place that I havent been to in years that is right downtown that I will have to go to.
The Empress ( though I will pass on the Tea this time around $55. YIKES!)

So what are your favourite things to do in Vancouver/Victoria?

It looks like you've got Vancouver covered but in Victoria, they've got a wax museum right there on the water by that underwater sub or whatever that thing is, I can't remember. Also the Capilano Suspension Bridge is a WAY COOL place to go. Also, if you like good (and I mean GOOD) wool clothing there are several stores in Victoria. They sell beautiful wool suits and even capes!

Binny, I think Chudley was using the submarine as a landmark to find the museum, not as one of the things to do. But, she would have to tell you that herself.

I do want to thank you for posting this thread. I know none of this info, so I am very interested in finding this out as well. And now I know that I need to go to these places!!!

MC was right and it's not really a sub anyway, it's an underwater garden or something. The Wax Museum is very good and close to everything, right across from the Empress and left on the water. You didn't mention the suspension bridge.....chicken...?

Chicken? me? nope. At least not of bridges. Submarines are my only phobia, strange isnt it?

DH tried to get me to take one in Hawaii and there was NO WAY I was getting on one!

I dont know what it is, I just have this fear of enclosed spaces under water. I can scuba, I can snorkel, Im not afraid of the water at all I love the water! But I think Ive seen too many WW2 movies with submarines being attacked or something.

sardine cans of death Im telling you!

YW Mc. Vancouver and Victoria have a LOT to offer!

My dad used to take me to the "Totem Pole Farm" in Stanley Park when I was little. At least thats what I called it LOL. The Aquarium is actually quite good as well.

Were doing 4 night in Vic and 2 nights in Van then one in Seattle. Just me and my mom

I love hearing about what other people like to do. I know what *I* like but Im always open to other ideas ( as long as they dont include submarines! ).

Thanks Chudley for the ideas too

I would love to do that, just once, anywhere!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
