Sue, DH and I went to Victoria on our honeymoon. It was snowing and everything was beautiful with the lights and stuff. We went for the carraige ride at night and it was so romantic. They took our picture in it and it came out so well, we used it for our Christmas cards to our family a month later.

I just remembered another one... especially good if it happens to be raining and you want to get out of the rain.

In Gastown, which is a nice place to wander around between showers, there is a relatively new experience called Storeum. Here you can learn all about British Columbia's past.
Quote "Storyeum is a theatrical presentation of British Columbia's dramatic history. Descend in one of the world's largest passenger lifts and take a 65 minute guided tour through a series of unique underground theatres. Witness historical moments, meet memorable characters and learn legends and stories of the past."

The web site is: http://www.storyeum.com/home.html

I think it does, also. I may just do that next time I'm up there. Binny, are you avoiding the Capilano Suspension Bridge?

We are staying in Vancouver for a week after our Glacier Bay cruise in May 2006, we have planned all the things that Binnie has mentioned plus:- Grouse Mountain, a day trip to Whistler, and want to ride around on those little Aqua buses for a while!!! Are all these attractions OK and worth doing?

Old 08-26-2005, 08:54 PM Binny is offline     #18 (permalink)
AquaBuses? Is that the Duck tours? I love those personally.

Stanley park was disapointing to me The Aquarium is nothing like it used to be and there is no longer a zoo there.

I was really sad. I had wonderful memories from that place.

We didnt stay long, however if you dont have an Ikea go to the new one in Coquitlam, it takes a while to get there.

Missed the bridge this year. But did shopping downtown, stayed at the Hotel Georgia, if you want a glorious old Hotel thats the place to be!!

Try taking a trip to the top of the Lookout! At Harbor Centre Towers. Its a great 360 view of the city. Also driving over to the West End and English Bay is fun on the weekends when its full of people. Walk along Robson street and do some shopping. Walk over to Denman street and have lunch in an outdoor cafe!
