Yes Tony the hotel is air conditioned.

As I said we had no problem with the trains, in fact enjoyed watching them come and go from Fenchursh Street Station. Thought I must mention the fact, you can also see the Dockland Light Railway.

Dockland Light Railway (watch the zones) you can use with a day ticket for the undergound. Don't think you can use the ticket for the buses, we have free pass for local buses all over England.

Premier Inn, Etap, Ibis are among other budget hotels.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Notting Hill. It was an old converted brownstone from the turn of the century. A small elevator, we had to send one bag up with Deb, send the elevator back down empty, send it up with the bags, and repeat the process twice to get all of our stuff up. No air conditioning and no screens in the windows. The bar was only able to give me a cup of ice a night since that was a full 20% of their production. The hotel was one block from the tube. It cost us about $300 US a night.

    The staff was friendly.

Would we stay there again? In a heartbeat!
