Thread: European Health Insurance Card

In UK, don't know about other European Countries, we have a card (Used to be called E111)) This card entitles us to free medical care within Europe. Does not include emergency evacuation to your home, so you still need Travel Insurance.

The card last for a number of years, just noticed ours is due to run out. So please check the dates on your cards if it applies to you.

You can apply for renewal on line, beware if you get the wrong site, you are giving personal details to an unknown third party, who will be charging £9.25 for the privilege, so make sure its the proper HEIC site and the application is free.
