Thread: What have you NOT done while in London that you would like to do?

Up to last year Harrods was owned by Mohamed Al-Fayed, whose son was killed with Princess Diane in Paris.

Mohamed Al-Fayed sold the store to Qatar Holding last year.

Mohamed Al-Fayed still has a lot of Harrods merchandise which he sells on his Scottish estate of Balnagown Castle in the Scottish Highlands. We visited it for the salmon leap last year, a picture of his Harrods goods is below.

One place we visited last year in London was the Natural History Museum. The dinosaur exhibition is totally outstanding, and is really worth visiting. Took us to last year to visit, and it was worth it.

One point I failed to mention, not only are we charging you more for leaving the Country, our rate of VAT increased yesterday from 17.5% to 20 % making purchasing goods more expensive, even my beer.

I think you are mostly right, but I am one who does like to be a "tourist" in my own back yard. I make a point of visiting the landmark spots around New England and there are many. Many of my friends and neighbors have never explored Boston or other historic places around here.

I love Harrods...what a store! The memorial to Dodie Al-Fayed and Diana is very nice too.
