    Question Ffestiniog Railway in Holyhead

    We're considering taking this railway excursion while we're in Holyhead. If you've done this, what did you think?

    it's about 13 years since i went on this,it's on a narrow gauge railway.very cute i think it's about 1hour 15 from hollyhead

    Thanks Smitty. I think we'll take it since we're interested in seeing as much of the countryside as we can in such a short time and this looks like a good option.

    it runs from B.F. to porthmadoc which is a small seaside town with a great beach.B.F.is an old slate quarrying area. produces some of the best slate in the country, ithink there's a museum there.

    oh i forgot to say that as it's in wales, it rains a lot even in summer, but it's still pretty even in the rain!!!!!!!!
