I don't like my peas mushy. I like the frozen petite peas not canned ones. Fresh would be better right off the vine.

I am not a pudding lover so I would skip any of those type of dishes.

Pickled eggs just don't sound good to me at all.

How about Dr Pepper. Can you get that over there?

yes we get dr pepper. the puddings i'm refering to are savoury, filled with steak and kidney wrapped in suet pastry. the're a northern speciality.

My husband would try anything. I would taste it. But that may be as far as I would go.

I eat fresh peas in the pod in summer, buy 'em in big packs and chomp my way through them. Reminds me of podding peas for my mother when I was little.

Pickled eggs are tasty, but I have to concede may be an acquired taste.

Do you have Scotch eggs in the States? These are hardboiled eggs wrapped in sausage meat, rolled in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. Very healthy.

scotcheggrecipe

Oh and warning to strangers to Scotland's customs - never refer to anything from that fair land being 'Scotch'. It's 'Scottish'. Unless you're pouring scorn on an idea, of course, or pouring whisky from a bottle.

And by the bye, if you're in Ireland you'll be after drinking whisky with an extra 'e', as in 'whiskey'!

Confused? Don't be!

I don't like anything pickled. I don't like vinegar.

And the Scotch eggs that is the first I have heard of them.
