Has anyone ever kissed the Blarney Stone?

I have a friend from Ireland that swears when they were teenage boys they used to pee on the blarney stone and then sit back and watch the tourists! LOL!

We just returned from our TA which indeed had a stop in Cork Ireland where we took a tour to the Blarney Castle. I could not climb to the top of the dark, narrow passageway but my hubby did & he did kiss the infamous stone. Along with a lot of others on our little tour!!!

The Blarney woollen mills are VERY nice too!

Climbed to the top of Blarney Castle a few years ago and kissed the stone. Figured I might as well after the climb. this past September we just walked around Cobh and enjoyed a glass of Murphy's. LOL

We stopped by the castle on our last cruise, went to the Woolen mills, but didn't kiss the stone. They wouldn't let me hit it with a gallon of industrial strength Lysol and that is the only way I would kiss a stone that so many others have put their lips on. Nope, I am not a romantic.......

BTW, the castle was not that impressive although Colb county overall was beautiful and worth a day excursion.
