I believe that NCL was letting the ship fall into disrepair because of it being sold. The GRM explained the plumbing problems as "the ship is old". The chairs in the theater were broken or very wobbly, and some floor tiles were missing on the top deck where someone could have taken a serious fall. I noticed the bottoms of cabin doors pushed in leaving gaps in the doors. We have sailed on ships that were older than 18 years and they were in much better shape. I hope the Louis Line plans to do alot of rehab.

I sailed the NCL Sea in 2002 and believe it was same class ship. It was my least favorite cruise ever. The cabins were as small as I had ever seen and the ship always seemed crowded.
Enjoyed the review. We sailed her in Sept and didn't have anywhere near the problems you had with the cabin ( just a drawer that fell apart. Didn't wait more than a few minutes for any restaurant either. Didn't have any problems disembarking , but we were last off and any problems whould no doubt have been sorted out by then.
Guess we dodged a bullet.

Tony, I think you did avoid all the bullets!! Since we are early risers, we dined early, went to the early shows, and went to bed early. It seems as if 90% of the ship followed the same pattern.Waiting to get off the ship later was also a good idea!! Consider yourself as having hit the lottery on this cruise!!
Ziggy, We met a couple onboard ship who had cruised on the Louis Line and they said it was the worst cruise ever. They only went into the theater one evening for the show, because they said the entertainment was some guy showing his wedding video.
Thank you for your report. I guess it's good for NCL that they're getting rid of this ship. Maybe that's why my hubby wants to go on the newer ships in a line (we went on a Princess ship in its 3rd month of sailing and it still had that "new ship" smell).
Sounds like there's a great deal of communication problems among various elements (on the ship, the port people, etc.).

That about sums up Louis' entertainment.
Onboard Louis Emerald we went to the Information Desk to ask if it would be chilly in Mykonos and what the weather would be like, since we would be arriving later than planned. Of course this happened because the whole ship couldn't get their act together during our Greek Isles cruise The woman smiled and said "I will find out", picked up the phone to call someone and asked them something in Greek, then hung up and replied "It is good" We were waiting for more, but all we received was a smile
