We booked the Curacao Kayak Adventure through Royal Caribbean. Our tour time was 9:00 am and we were to meet on the Pier at 8:45 am. We found the woman with the Kayak Tour Sign right away and she told us where our group was waiting. We loaded onto our small bus and there were 12 of us on the Tour.
We drove over Queen Juliana Bridge on our way to Jan Sofat, the Kayaking location. The tour description had me a little bit nervous because a life jacket being worn was mandatory and mentioned a difficult portion in the Spanish Waters, something Pass. Sorry I don't have all my notes, I left a couple things at work. The area is where 2 different currents come together and you're kayaking in some white caps. It was not a very windy day, so the Pass was not extremely difficult, but our guides told us whatever we do, don't stop paddling DH was in the back of the kayak since he's more experienced than I am, but this worked in his favor while we crossed the pass! I was splashed constantly during the crossing and it brought back memories of a log flume ride After the pass, we kayaked to a small beach where we could swim for about 20 minutes before heading back the way we came to end the tour. When we returned, the guides asked us to bring the kayaks in one at a time. For some reason, my DH always wants to be last in these types of situations and this is when he decided he was done kayaking for the day. He decided to give the others on the tour a laugh as I kayaked us in while he acted like he was a horse jockey
I would highly recommend this kayak tour! We had a great time and the Guides were very friendly and informative about the area. One thing I want to note though, you were not allowed to wear water sandals only water shoes were allowed in the kayaks. When we went to the beach it was very rocky and I ended up with a small cut on my toe. It didn't bleed, but it did sting with the salt water.
The pictures for this tour were taken with my old camera. I didn't have the time to get the underwater case for my new camera. I also want to apologize for the quality of the pictures, there was some water on the lens and I couldn't do too much about it since I didn't have anything dry to wipe it off with while in the kayak.

Immediately after kayaking our bus was there to return us to the ship. We were worried about being wet, but the bus driver put trash bags on every seat We got back to the Ship around 1:00 pm and were starving so we headed to our cabin to get showered and changed so we could head to the Windjammer for lunch.
I was hoping to possibly see some of Willemstad after lunch originally, but these tours were running over the time a little bit and All Aboard was at 4:30 pm. By the time we got changed and ate it was after 2:30 pm and DH isn't one for trying to squeeze everything in the way that I attempt to He said he needed a nap, so I went up on Deck 12 to take pictures of the Port. We were on Starboard side and the ship docked on Port side for 3 of the 4 Ports of Call, so to get pictures of the Ports from the Ship, I had to go to the Public Areas. I really would have liked to go across the Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, but I'll have to settle for next time

I headed back to the Cabin and DH was awake. He said he wanted coffee so we headed to the Concierge Lounge to see if the machine had been fixed. We walked in and it had been Marcus was at the machine and said he didn't think the milk portion was working right. Mike tried it anyway and got a cup and said it tasted really good. We chatted with Vanessa, the Concierge, for a little bit and Mike went back for a 2nd cup...that's when he did it....he broke the machine Well at least he got 1 cup of coffee from it before it went down again Luckily, we were the only ones in the Lounge aside from Marcus and Vanessa We headed out and told them we'd see them tonight before dinner.
We headed to Windjammer to see if Mike could get his coffee there. He was a little bummed about the machine breaking because he said it tasted so much better than the coffee there. We sat out on Deck 11 and people watched for a bit then headed down to our cabin to get ready for dinner. Tomorrow was a Sea Day so we were thinking of heading to the Show afterwards. Well that was until after we bumped into a few people we met on excursions and they were at the early show and said it wasn't all that great We decided instead to go to the casino after dinner and Mike won $100.

We had absolutely no plans for the day. On previous cruises, a Sea Day would have meant a day in the sun by the pool for me, but I was doing very well with not burning and I didn't want to push my luck! The next 2 days excursions would have me out on boats so laying out by the pool wasn't something I wanted to do with the possibility of getting sunburned.
We decided that after breakfast we would sit down and discuss our plans for renovating the new house. I can't believe it, but other than our planning and a quick run down to the Photo Gallery to see our pictures, we relaxed the whole day!
We had tickets for the Ice Show for 5:00 pm that evening. In typing this I realized I missed an important part back on our first Sea Day..sorry! Another perk of staying in the Suites and having the Concierge is not having to stand in line for Ice Show tickets. On Monday (our first sea day) the tickets were available. I stopped down at the Concierge Lounge and asked Vanessa about them. She had stacks of tickets in the Lounge for all 4 shows that were scheduled. No waiting in any lines and my choice of whatever show I wanted to attend When we were on Explorer OTS last year, we missed the Ice Show because I was sick and DH didn't know about going down to get the tickets. In addition to being able to get the tickets, there is also a section of Studio B roped off for Suite Guests. This is all part of Royal Caribbean's new Enhanced Suite Program.
The Ice Show was called "Cool Art, Hot Ice" and it was great! They had a girl in the show who they introduced as a special guest from Canada and she was unbelievable with the things she did! She worked on the ice and also on what looked like a hula hoop ring suspended in the air. At one point she was hanging about 10 feet in the air and supported by one foot with an ice skate on it It was very entertaining and I understand now why everyone says you have to see the show if you're onboard a ship that has it I was so busy watching the show, that I forgot to take pictures I had my camera in my hand with the flash set to off (they don't allow videotaping or flash photography) but it was a good show that had my undivided attention
Being that it was a Sea Day, this was also our 2nd (and according to Mike "Thankfully our LAST" ) Formal night. I didn't want him to have to sit through the Ice Show all dressed for dinner, so we went in our daytime clothes and changed for dinner after the show. This time, I told him he could forget about the tie if it really bothered him. I swear I caught him the mirror
We went to the Lounge prior to dinner and got to talking with some of the other guests. Tonight's show was Merrill Osmond in Concert. We're not really big Osmond Brother fans, so we once again didn't attend the show.
