Tortola is one of our favorites! We especially enjoy going out in sailing catamarans! The water is so absolutely blue and clear!

Been there once, want to go back again. We did the land tour, and got some really good pictures. Very nice and freindly. If you go to Pussers, make sure to have a "pain killer".
We have been to Tortola quite a few times. This port was on our first cruise. The captain got our ship stuck on a sand bar. Had to wait hours for the tow boats to come from St Thomas. (Never saw the captain the rest of the cruise.)
The place hasn't hasn't really changed over the years - near pier.
Otherwise we have no desire to go back there.

Great beaches.....friendly people (just say hello and good day first!).......great boating and cool bars....very pretty scenery, good infrastructure, grocery stores, every kind of restaurant you can imagine in all budget ranges. Low crime rate (very unlike St. Thomas) and very authentic....not overdeveloped, not underseveloped, just right.

Welcome to CLF, aeroangie - and thank you SO much for your input on this thread!
We've not been to Tortola, but I keep hearing more and more about it, and most of what I am hearing makes me want to see it!
Angie - I appreciate knowing you consider it 'not overdeveloped.' That's something that's appealing to me.
Let's face it, once you've seen a DI, you've seen a DI!
