    For room service we tip in cash, from 2-3 dollars per visit. it seems to help get your order there in a very timely manner.$2.00 if they just drop it and run $3.00 if I ask them to put it on the balcony

    We normally go to our UK bank before leaving and order some $1 notes (when cruising with Princess or Celebrity). The amount we get depends on how many our in our group. Whilst we keep the tips in place in respect of our onboard account, we also tip room service staff, any bar staff who have been particularly attentive and more often than not leave a little extra cash for the Room Steward and dining room waiters at the end of the trip.
