I love to order room service for breakfast but I am always concerned that I am not tipping enough for room service. How much do you feel is an adequate tip for them?

It seems from what others say, it depends on whether you're just getting one or two things (like a carafe of coffee) or a whole tray. Personally I would give $1 or 2 for a few items and at least $4 for a whole tray. But it's been a while since we've used room service.

I agree with Patty. $1-2 for a few items and $4-5 for a breakfast-lunch or dinner tray.
I would also take into concideration how fast the order arrives to your cabin and how much the poor room service waiter has to carry.

Will do-we had pretty good luck with it on Carnival but I was always unsure how much to tip them. I am hoping for it to be a good thing here as I hate to leave cabin so early in the morning & so enjoy the salmon & fruit!!!!

We really got into Room Service later into our cruising experience.

If we are ordering In Room Tea & Sweets for our return
from a tour or just bumming around the balcony,
we would tip $3.00

If we have food order to be delivered to us, we would
tip about $5.00

If someone is going to bring us our meal hot, and is coming directly to our cabin, I deeply appreciate their dedication
to carry those heavy tray to us.

I can imagine what that job can really be like.

For a quick snack we usually tip $1 per person eating.
For a "lunch" meal we do $2 per person.
For a Full "Dinner" meal we tip $3 per person.

Agree! We always keep extra dollar bills around.
