    When we were on the Voyager 5(?) years ago, they put it on our account and then delivered the vouchers to our cabin and we had to give those to everyone. On the Monarch 2 years ago, they just put them on our account and no vouchers to hand out.

    I don't mind the automatic tips being charged to my account. I still give some extra cash to some staff on the last day. I don't bother with the envelopes, just hand it to them when shaking hands and saying thanks.

    Even when extra tips are charged to our account for extra service, we always have the option of writing a personal thank you to the serving staff that has taken such good care of us. Don't underestimate the power of a simple "thank you" note.
