Does anyone know about how much a taxi from the airport in Tampa to the port costs? Also, how much time does it take to get from the airport to the port?

$20-25 Don't know the mileage!! Found it, it is about 15 miles, so about a half hour in traffic!!

When we were there in November 2005, it was a flat fee of 20$ for a taxi to anywhere in metro Ft. Lauderdale from the Airport, including the Port of Tampa.

I agree w/Sue, $20-$25 for taxi. It's just shy of 10 miles from TIA down to the cruise terminals on Channelside Drive. The driving time can vary greatly, depending on the day of the week, and the time of day. On a Saturday morning, it would take about 15-20 minutes, tops. On a Friday (or other weekday morning) it could take from 30 minutes to an hour (or more), depending on traffic tie-ups. There's construction in the I4 - I275 interchange area too, which causes delays too. By about 10AM on weekdays, the traffic thins out after the morning rush hour(s). Saturday and Sunday mornings are a breeze.
