X Bidding Farewell to Tampa?

With the repositioning of the Zenith from Tampa to Bermuda in April, it appears that there will be no more Celebrity ships sailing out of Tampa for the foreseeable future.

Zenith embarks on her last 10-day Western Caribbean itinerary from Tampa on the 23rd of this month, followed by a final 11-day Eastern Caribbean sailing on April 2.

The 15 day Repo begins April 13.

Word is her future lies in Europe.

The new X ships - Journey and Quest - don't appear to be scheduled for any sailings out of Tampa at all.

So, is this really a farewell to Tampa for Celebrity?

It looks like Europe is really going to be packed with ships by 2008.
I just hope the political situation stay stable and there is not a quick exodus.

I can't help thinking the same thing.

Did you see that Independence of the Seas is going to home port in Europe?

MSC cruises, which, for a while, seemed to be makiing an effort to push into the US market, is homeporting their new MSC Orchestra in Europe, too.
