    Sun Princess

I intercepted a post from the CC board re: Live on the Sun Princess - the ship, currently enroute fom Alaska to FLL, lost a bowthruster and cannot fix it enroute. This means it will have to tender at all ports until reaired. It stated it would take two days in "wetdock" somewhere to repair after they get parts (an oil seal).

So when do they hope to fix it?

    Hi Floflegs
Can't seem to find any info anywhere. Going to TA's tomorrow anyway so may ask them to enquire. I would hate to fly all that way to be going nowhere. Two lots of people on our cruise? Are they coming out of UK?

I just had a friend come back from the Sun and they had no problems with the trusters out. They were able to be tugged in and out of every port. So they were able to be docked at each w/ no tendering needed.

Both lots of people come from Scotland. One lot is a couple and the other 2 ladies. They fly to London then to Miami.
I hope that what the previous poster said is right and tugs are used rather than tenders in every port.

    Hi Floflegs,
Might meet them at London then, we fly manchester to London then Miami. Are they doing the Princess Package ? then they would also be at the same hotel prior to cruise. Tell them we will be the ones with the Bristolian accents. I gather they have been using tugs, but they are having to paint the hull frequently as tyre marks being left behind. Will be far more interesting watching coming into port though.
