Southern Caribbean Medley on the Sun

This is one of the cruises that I'm thinking about for our next

Has anyone been? I know there are a lot of Sun Lovers out there...I'd like to hear more!

The ports are:
Curacao
Isla Margarita
Barbados
Dominica
St. Thomas
Princess Cays

We were thinking of a Southern Caribbean cruise - haven't been yet. We were looking at the Sun or the Sea P. for December 2006 (we would need to go during our girl's winter break from school). It seems that many of these cruises are already selling out.

Wow, Patty....that's good to know that they sell out so quickly!! Maybe that means they're really good fun! I'm thinking about next Spring...March or April.

Jill, does the cruise you're considering have many ports in a row or are days at sea mixed in? My hubby's main qualms about the 12/23 Sea P. cruise is the eight straight ports.

Hi Patty! It's a 10-day.....has 3 sea days and Princess Cays. There are 5 ports in a row...in the middle. 2 sea days on the front end & 1 sea day & Princess Cays on the back end. We will have already been to PC, so it's possible we could stay onboard.

We enjoy staying on the ship during some port calls. We have done this in the past on RCCL's large ships and it is amazing how much better the pools are at the top of the ship. The crowd is gone and there is peace and quiet. We are looking forward to the southern Caribbean on Sea Princess in April. I read on a review that in the day, MUTS used head phones. I love that.

Happy Cruising

Bob and Joyce .. I cant wait to watch MUTS. We came back early to the ship when we visited Montego Bay last Nov. We were not that impressed with it so we decided to come back and take advantage of the wonderful Star Princess.

Did this trip on the Dawn in March and absolutely loved it! Isla Margarita was a bit of a disappointment (do not do the Princess shopping trip!!!) but everyone who went to the beach in the port had a blast. Just loved every other stop on the cruise and would love to do it all over again. We had private tours on Barbados, Dominica and St. Thomas and would definitely do those again as the tour operators were great and the prices couldn't have been better. As a plus, we avoided the crowds since our private vans could do things faster than Princess could!

Hey Kallen! Thank you!! Nice to have some info about this cruise.

Can you tell me who you used for private tour operators in the places you visited?? Do you have website links? (if they have websites or email!)

It would also be great if you can go to the Cruise Destinations & Excursions section for each of the places you visited and post the same info with little reviews of each port of call & tour operator.

I'll be sending you some frubals today
