    Sun Princess Experiences

Having just booked a 10 day on the Sun Princess, I'm interested in hearing about other people's experiences on her. There are some great reviews on CC, and some really bad ones. Obviously people's opinions are very subjective, but I'd really like to hear what you thought. We have a BD guarantee, so information about balcony cabins would be welcome.

Joe, I can't imagine you getting a bad cruise on any Princess ship, with exception to the Caribbean Princess and the new one coming out, which will be just as over crowded as the CP... I've been on 3 Princess ships and they all had good food, service, shows, and entertainment.. The only thing we despised about the CP was the over crowding, it was terrible, so bad that we will not go on it, or their new one again....

Me either Rog!! Now I have to hunt for cruises!!
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

We're booked on a March cruise on the Sun. We wanted something different and wanted a 10 day cruise so we chose the Sun because we like Princess. My daughter did not like it but our SIL did. I guess her complaint was about the exercise room and the small cabin. But SIL says we will really enjoy it. I agree with those who don't like the Caribbean Princess. We did not either! Too crowded. A Princess agent told me that they have decided to delete some cabins on the newest ship coming out. They saw the complaints about the CB and decided to do more public rooms and fewer cabins. Don't know how many they deleted.

    Joe & Kathy,

We're right behind you but on the Sea Princess. I am used to RCCL Eagle Class ships so I know I'll enjoy the quietness of the Sea Princess. Sun Class ships look perfect to me. Time will tell. We can compare notes next spring.

    Happy Cruising

Oh I would love to know about the Sun. I'm cruising on her next July in Alaska!

Is she any different than her sister ship the Dawn? If not then I know I'll like her! I loved the Dawn!

I actually wanted to book the Sea Princess but it was booked up. Had to "settle" for the Sun. Poor me.

When I booked with Pricess in April, their representative said these would go fast so not to wait. I went with his advise.

We have cruised the Sun many times and will be on her again in October - it is one of our favorite Princess ships.
