    Hi Betty,
Thanks for the tomatoes, we are enjoying them very much. I feel very lucky to have Jan for a friend, and we have been friends since kids. I think that is really special. It's nice that we both enjoy traveling together, especially since out hubbies aren't too interested in travel.
We both really like Mexican food, although I'm not crazy on the really "hot" stuff. I have never been real impressed with Bocha Chica, however many folks really like it. My favorite was Chi Chi's, I really miss them. We have Chula Vista a coupls blocks from our house and enjoy the food there.
We both enjoyed getting together for lunch and look forward to seeing you and your roomie on the cruise. We will also be anxious to hear all about your up and coming cruise. I hope you have a great time and come home safely!

Carol – Thanks for the frubals.

I’m still struggling to get information on accessibility in Lisbon. Found a local train route that would take us a couple of the major places we want to go, but have not been able to find out if it is wheelchair accessible yet. We are pretty sure that we have created a walking tour that we will be able to do. May have to take a taxi between areas. For Monte Carlo we gave up trying to figure out a route. Even though they do have a few elevators getting to the different level of streets, they are few and far between.

I do believe taste wise and plentiful, this is the best crop of tomatoes I have had. They are far from being picture perfect, but they sure taste good. And, I have been enjoying them since early June.

Thanks Betty. You must be getting excited about your cruise. Not too many days left now. I hope you have a great time and great weather. Will want to hear all about it when you get back. Wish I were going too, sure could use a vacation.

Hi Carol & All ! Just wondering if any of you have checked your Princess Cruise Personalizer lately ... and have Shore Excursions listed.

Mine on Jan 6th Sea is still saying Non Available for Shore Excursions. Seems like they've been there 90 days prior on other Princess cruises.

Just wondering if you folks have yours listed????

Carol – Debbie is gathering info for a cc roster. I gave her what I had available, but you might wish to send her complete info. When I get back from my current cruises, I will set up a gathering for everyone on the roster.

Playing the waiting game now. My son will be home in about forty-five minutes to get me to the airport where I sprout wings and take off for Venice.

    I'm home

Carol - Noted that you posted on the other thread. Does not look like anyone else has found this thread. Got home Friday night, after a little detour by the Urgent Care facility, and have not had much pep. Will have all my energy back in a few weeks.

Also seen that you changed jobs. Are you still working 4 days per week or did you go to a conventional schedule?

    Both the cruises were great.

Welcome home Betty, glad you had a good time. Looks like you are back just in time for the snow as it's 7-10 inches in southern MN right now!

Sorry you had to visit Urgent Care and hope you are doing better now.

I have been to the other site reading their posts, not impressed with their conversations, just don't seem to have anything in common with them. Seems by their posts than are quite a bit younger than our group.

We now have 2 more "girls" with our group. They were able to get an inside room at this late date and will be joining us at our table. They are friends, coworkers I think, of Jan's. I haven't meet them yet. Also Jan and I got $351 each back on out cruise, refund from Princess as the price went down.

    Hi Betty,
Been going to sent you an email and will soon. New job going well, so far I like it and am glad I made the change. Still can't believe I am working in a cubicle, but they need RN's for this job so glad I got it. Legs, feet, and knees are thanking me for the change!!!!
Been busy getting started with cookies and decorating, glad I have the Friday after Thanksgiving off, one of the bonuses of being a state employee! Lost all my cookie recipes, many old ones of Mom's. We can't remember where we put them when re doing the kitchen last winter. Have been checking out cookbooks to see if any are famaliar. Have to be ready for second week in Dec entertaining.

Carol – Sounds like you have a 9-5 desk job. Do believe that you are about to find out that “mental” fatigue can be just as hard as “physical” fatigue. You definitely will be ready for cruise by January. I am glad to hear that you do like your new job.

Looking at your cruise “count down” I did not see your Baltic cruise. Are you still taking it?

Did you happen to mention to the others that are joining you on the cruise about the roll call boards?

Considering that I am probably the senior “old fogy” on the roll call boards, I will share with you a different out-look. Along with retirement comes an appreciation of the “younger generations” and their energy and enthusiasm. You should allow yourself to find enjoyment in observing and even in those foolish moments when you act ridiculous enough to attempt to participate. All the doctors and nurses at both Urgent Care and my doctor’s office tried to hide their amusement of the story involving my little accident… after all, how many grandmas does one see riding a kid’s scooter around town?

Guess what I am attempting to say is don’t let age interfere with your enjoyment on the cruise. HAVE FUN!
