Hi Joey, have you done anything yet about booking a hotel in Ft Lauderdale? A couple of months ago we stayed at AmeriSuites. It was OK but not nearly as nice as the Embassy or the Renaissance. Last time we booked through ValueTrips but they will not advertise their 2007 pricing until October. I hate to wait that long and may have to consider booking a backup hotel just in case. Priceline does not seem to get the inventory that they did a couple of years ago but maybe I will play around with them for a while on the off chance that something good becomes available. I shudder to think what we will pay for a nice hotel in LA I would imagine that there will be slim pickings under $300 a night. We payed $99 plus tax for AmeriSuites this last January.
Joey, I am really hyper about the fact that our cruise it is so close to Superbowl time. Have you stayed at the Best Westin Marina before? It doesn't get very nice reviews. Did you call the hotel direct? I called Amerisuites and the girl told me the rates are not available until July. I said so in that case I cannot book until then and she told me to call back after 10 am when the manager comes in. I am such a worry wart over these things. I just love it when everything is in place and I can sit back and relax.
Cheers,
Jean
we have used this property in the past but dont bother "they went out of business" and didnt tell me .just got off the phone with 800 best western..very upset.... will no longer use BW for any travel..
We now booked at the comfort suites at 1800 S. Federal Hwy. , Fort Lauderdale, FL, US, 33316-1853 Phone: (954) 767-8700.. thier internet rate was 144 +tax a night.. once agin free shuttle
David that is terrible that they did that to you. When would you have found out? Good job you did some enquiries today. I have a call in to the Amerisuites manager to try to get rates. If that fails I just may end up booking Comfor Suites. Just 3 more days until I can book my flights with Delta.
Booked airline tickets today, the next thing is the hotel. I am going to book Comfort Suites for now. Come October Valuetrips will publish their Amerisuites discount prices for 2007 and if they do not block out my date I will book with them and cancel Comfort Suites. Joey, when I stayed there this January the cost was $99 plus tax per night. Both hotels have had some pretty miserable reviews but as for AmeriSuites I thought it was just fine as I am sure that Comfort Suites is too.
Cheers,
Jean
