Good Morning Judy

Its been a busy morning here

We are still waiting for our stuff, but I called the company and it should be here sometime today

I called our telephone provider to check how much my dad pays and its way to much. I will change the tele provider soon.
Internet connection problems sorted out........for now

We went out ang bought a new sofa

It will be delivered tomorrow

While at the shop I got a phone call from the hotel I had a meeting with last week. I got the job there also

Now I have to decide between the 2

I think I will take the one I got yesterday. I am almost 100% positive

I only wish the deli is calling and tells me they have decided to employ another person. If they do thats the job I want because of the hours. We will see what happens

Isn't that the way it goes with job hunting! Feast or famine!

It's good to be in the position you're in though! You have 2 jobs to choose from

Maybe even 3 if you hear back from the Deli! Write down the pros and cons of both to help you decide if you're really not sure which one to go with. It can be difficult to decide when you're thinking of the pay, hours, working conditions, but all of that usually matters to me and not just the pay. Also if there are any perks or other benefits that make one more attractive over the other, like flexible hours or better health care and those types of things. I don't know how Norway's health care system is? Here in the US, most employers will only pay a portion of your medical insurance coverage, some don't even provide it at all, but my job covers Mike and I 100%. Huge amount of money is shelled out on that per month

Follow your gut feeling and all will be great! Whichever one you choose, tell the other why you've made that decision...you never know one day down the road you may find yourself back at their place

I worked at my current company back in 1984 - 1986. I left for very good reasons (I won't get into them here) at the time and my now Boss, called me and asked what it would take for me to come back when he was going to be in charge of everything in 1990. Best thing I ever did was come back here, even with my Mom telling me it was the wrong move and I wouldn't look like I was a stable employee

The company I worked for at the time went out of business in the mid-90's and it's been over 19 years that I've been back here

Now;

a new sofa!

I want to see pictures once you get it and it's set up in one of those freshly painted rooms

You and "A" are not wasting any time in setting up that house!

And, saving your Dad money on that phone bill!

When it comes to jobs its not only the pay thats important.
Radisson SAS will give the best benefits. Pension plan and discounts in SAS flights and hotels world wide.
The health system in Norway is pretty good. Because of the high taxes we pay all health care is free.
My stomach feeling says Radisson SAS. Thats why I called and left a message today that I will be taking the job. The other place said it was ok to work there extra if I wanted. Not bad at all

Tonight I got an email about a new lunch place opening in August

I would like that job also...........If I may please

Our stuff arrived this afternoon and we have been busy unpacking and putting things away. Its lots of things to do yet

Almost all the things came unbroken. Only 1 broken glass on a frame and a missing shelf (its a shelf to go with the book case). The glass is ok, no big deal but I really want the shelf. So I will call the company tomorrow and see if they have forgotten it somewhere

If not they have to get us a new one

I cant belive how much stuff we have

How are we going to fit everything

We left 4 or 5 boxes unopened and they will remain so for a good while. I need a bigger place

Acually my dad said he could move downstairs and we could live upstairs. I am not sure about that yet. If we switched we had to start redecorating etc up here

Not what I had in mind at the moment

A pension and discounts on flights and hotels for someone who loves to travel sounds like very nice, and useful, perks!

See how the feast and famine works with jobs! Now that you've decided, you'll get more notices about others. That's always the way

I'm glad the movers arrived. I was wondering earlier if that's what you were busy doing! Hmm, a missing shelf sounds like it was either delivered with someone else's things OR it's still on the truck and noone knew exactly what that was? If it's still on the truck they will have the "AHA moment"

It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate over the years, isn't it?

Really, when all is said and done, we could function with much less than what we have, if we had too, but none of us want too!

Maybe your repainting and redecorating is why your Dad has offered to switch!

I know it would sway me

I am now off until Monday

I have no idea if we'll be down here this weekend or possibly heading up the mountains? Mike didn't know last night if he was working this weekend yet. Either way, it's nice to not have to think about work for 3 days.

I spent 1.5 hours at 3 banks today with my Mom. I don't really mind if she would share her ideas with me prior to me picking her up!

She waits until she gets into the car to tell me and then I'm out longer than my lunch hour and didn't know to tell the Boss I may be a little longer

Luckily the Boss said no big deal since we weren't real busy and he ran out to go clothes shopping for his business trip next week when I returned

I thought we had been good and cleared out lots of stuff before we left Spain but no, there are lots left. Well, also, the appartment downstairs are also smaller then the house we had in Spain AND it is not finished. Which reminds me I have to call that carpenter guy soon

But you know, it feels weird to have the things here. Its like they are not suppose to be here

The furniture etc is made for a Spanish house not Norweigan

Which of course is completely stupid to say

My dad is in Geiranger at the moment and it would not suprise me if he says when he returns and sees our finshed living space that he would like to switch NOW!! -

aint happening

I want to live there for a while before I make the switch

Weel, I am dead beat so will be signing off
