What a fast weekend...I'm now exhausted, but can't sleep yet. I spent the day with Mike shopping and watching movies then the big Survivor Finale tonight.

It's a shame "A" didn't have the papers with him! Could you see that? The poor Prime Minister! Is there some YouTube footage of "A"?

Congrats to Norway on winning the Eurovision song contest! I've wanted to go to Norway since the Olympics were in Lillehammer, hopefully I didn't butcher the spelling I do love the endless possibilities in Norway! I'll have to buy a Norway Guide. I can find info on the internet, but the Guides sometimes are easier to decipher.

BTW, the Grand Princess cruise in November dropped $200 per person for balcony category I keep waiting for it to drop real low

There is a sailing July 2010 on HAL's Westerdam that leaves from Rotterdam and goes to Norway that I was looking at in case any of the girls wanted to do a summer cruise next year Not sure what their schedules are? But there is some time if they are interested.

Not sure if I'll be busy at work this week, there may be a meeting this Thursday or it may be next Thursday...I just love not knowing what's going on

I have yet to see a vid of "A" on you tube I am trying to find it at NRK, a norwegian tv channel but nothing yet. I guess with the guy winning the eruosvison song contest and the national day yesterday, the primeministers visit was down graded
A guide book for Norway is always a good start and of course you can ask me all the questions you want.
I am crossing my fingers and everything that the "passport" office will call this week to say the passport is ready
Did I tell you my Norwegian bank accounts have been inactive for so long that the banks deleted them Now I have to open new once but they either will not let me as I dont live in the country or I have to meet at the bank in person.

We still have to find a travel bag fro Vidar. the dimentions are really silly and the airline ask for specsific things as how the bag is. Waterproof, hard bottom and it has to fit under the seat in front onboard the plane. The search goes on
Katie is now arriving in Norway July 17 - 21!!! It will be so great to see her again. I am looking forward to see her in Norway.
What else is happening this week? Appt with my regular doctor this afternoon, then on Wednesday I have another doc appt, but not sure for what.
MIL is leaving on Thursday so will have to take her to the train station.
Then Friday til Monday Adam and Stevie are coming to stay for the weekend until their house here is Spain is getting ready.
Hmm. looks like there are a few things happening this week
I also should start to get some boxes and bubblewrap for packing In a month now we are home!!!

My week just got less busy, this week's meeting looks like it will now be next week...or the week following...one never knows around here It's difficult for people to fit us into their schedules

I hope you've enjoyed the time with MIL! If she thought Spain was cold, she will not be looking forward to Norway!

As to my Norway trip, I was thinking September, if Mike and I aren't doing anything this year, or if we are maybe late October or early November. I'm trying to stay away from Mike's archery and rifle hunting seasons. I have to figure out if things are seasonal; it sure doesn't look it from Hurtigruten's schedule, but more research is needed, of course

I did read somewhere that Hurtigruten is going to lower their prices for get more customers - WOW - it doesnt take a a rocket sientist to figure that one out in this financial climate

Regarding my accounts; no there was no money there I have opened up 2 new accounts now - they have to send me the papers to Spain for me to sign then when they have recived them back I am set to go. Still it take 1-2 weeks to get a card
Its not a biggy really - I transfer the money to my sisters account and hope she doesnt run away

I must be doing something wrong...when I click on Oslo S to Bergen there are no dates available to "click" in the calendar after August 15th?

I was just pricing air from PHL to Oslo; and PHL to Aalesund for late September. The difference is only $114. Decent layovers where I shouldn't miss the plane; 2 hrs 15 minutes outbound and 3 hours on the return. I also threw in a hotel to see and there are only 2 in Aalesund that come up...this is through travelocity, I'll have to see if Expedia has some other options, but the pricing isn't bad

Thank goodness there wasn't money there. Here in the states they'll close them for inactivity and charge you a fee, which is usually what's left in there!

You can only book 90 days in advance on the train.
The flight sounds alright also.

There are plenty of hotels in Aalesund but you are staying with us If you want of course and you do we will be going to Geiranger also remember.
