    Hi Lars

We'll be in Rome pre-cruise this time so I don't think we'll need Adam to get the BIRG Tickets for us ahead of time. I was wondering how difficult it would be to get the train from the airport and then stay close to Termini Station. Hmm, are we thinking taxi to the port from Rome OR are we thinking train? I have visions of that nice long walk with luggage I guess we should wait and see how many pre-cruise "Romers" are going. If we get enough I can look into a larger vehicle, like a van for transfers.

I know I've been there BUT is there any reason to not stay close to Termini Station? Like is it a bad area? It didn't seem it to me, but we headed right for the Metro so I wasn't really above ground there.

Wonderful news on the Amalfi Coast

In Livorno, makes no difference to me, I'd go back to Florence or head to Luca. I don't think there's a way of doing both though? They're in opposite directions, yes?

That's right Katie needs to plan, plan, plan!

Did you have any thoughts on Kusadasi? or Istanbul? I've been to Kusadasi before, we went to Ephesus, if you've never been it's worth going there! Never been to Istanbul, a bit nervous about that port, so I'll have to do some research on whether they hate us horrible Americans there?

I've been to Athens before and the Acropolis is a MUST if you've never been. We went to the Hill across from it too, there is a small chapel at the top, beautiful views of the Acropolis from there! But it is a hike to get to it, we took a funicular to the top, but we were staying in Athens so time was not an issue.

I never been to Katakolon (Olympia) before, so that requires some research too

Am I horrible to think that it wouldn't be too bad if the itinerary switched to Rhoades and Valletta instead of Istanbul and the Sea Day?

We can take the Metro from the port, Pireaus, to Acropoli if we're going to the Acropolis. Athens Metro is very nice, they just redid it all for the Olympics in, I think it was 2004?

    Hi Judy

Well, Termini is not my first choice to stay. I would prefer to stay a bit further away from the station.
A private tour could probably do Luca and Florence. Not sure, yet

I Kusadasi I would love to go back to Efesus and the Virgin Mary thing and also the St. John church or something.

Istanbul is nothing to be nervous about. Do a ships tour

I dont mind seeing Rhodes and Valetta on the itinerary either Lets start wishing

Did you know Royal Caribbean has a 2 day WOW sale starting tomorrow??!!

I did know about Royal's 2 day WOW sale. It's on my list of things to look at tomorrow

Ok, Termini is out, I was just wondering if it would be convenient from airport train/port train. I would imagine you could hail a taxi from the train station though too.

Everyone was mentioning a hotel in Rome that had a special stay for 3 nights get the price of 2 on the DS for the original 2009 Princess we were looking at so I didn't know if they would offer that again in 2010 too

I'll have to price transfers next year, I doubt they'll stay the same as this year, especially if the economy turns around.

Or take your shoulder bag vs. the wallet in the pocket, or wear some extremely TIGHT pants!

Ya know after Barcelona, if anyone ever acts like they dropped the back of their phone, I'm going to kick them right out of the way

Maybe renting an appartment would be a solutiuon????

Train to the port is easy. I have to read through my Legend of the Seas trip report to find the number to a taxi company which charged us only Euros 70 or 80 for the transfer.
