Oops, missed your last question about New Moon. We normally don't go to the theatre, we'll wait for it to come out on DVD and then I'll either buy or rent the movie. Now with BluRay, I'll probably be waiting for that...OMG what an awesome picture BluRay is!

Good Morning, Judy How are you feeling??
Have you installed the lights yet???
3-4 weeks for the cabinets is good - not bad at all - are they ordered yet???

The refurb is not finished yet - I am getting inpatient and want those contractors gone.
They are putting up the list work today and they will finish most if not all of it.
They have to come back when the other windows and doors arrive, which should be later this week.
The guy who is going to do the tiles in the bathroom is supposed to come and have a look today.
He better get moving because I need this bathroom finished soon - well, actually I needed it done a few weeks ago
The bedroom is finished - I guess thats something

    Good morning Lars

I'm feeling better, just not 100% yet but hopefully that will change this week

We were working on the bathroom this past weekend. It's painted and now we need to remove the shower doors and give the tub a good deep cleaning. It was just a sprucing and we didn't want to spend a fortune on something we'll be ripping apart in a couple years.

We were also working on raking up all those leaves. We ended up going out to buy a leaf vacuum and leaf sweeper that attaches to the riding mower...after raking up 2 bags of leaves we realized the job of raking that size yard definitely needs equipment help

MIL's 1st settlement is this Wednesday afternoon so I'm breathing a sigh of relief! I've been so nervous over this taking place because she's buying the new house next Friday (Dec 4th) and we need the money from this settlement to do it! Even though she'll sign everything this Wed she won't get the money until next Tuesday This year is really a last minute year for me when it comes to everything!

Needless to say, between the bathroom, leaves and MIL's issues we haven't ordered the cabinets yet I don't know if we'll get the chance to do it this week with the holiday?

The bedroom is done! How's the kitchen coming along? I want to see pictures!

regarding the settlement. I am glad it has been finalized.

The kitchen is almost finished. Just need some list work around the windows and the floor

The tile guy is starting to prep the bathroom tomorrow for the tiles. He says it will be finished the first week in December. I am thinking more like the second

We have just been out shopping I got a runner for the kitchen floor and we bought a bed.
Its black its nice and its not a 4 poster. Maybe it gets delivered before Christmas maybe not.
We also saw 2 lovely black night tables which we need

We are going to the cinema today to watch 2012!! It should be good.....I hope

I hope the bed gets delivered before Christmas, this way you can celebrate Christmas in your new bedroom with all it's furnishings Of course you need those night tables, where will the alarm clock go without them?

Have fun at the cinema! Let me know what you think of 2012. I should be seeing all these movies in about 3 months when they come out on DVD

    Hola

2012 was ok.....it had som amazing special effects but apart from that not much.

We are almost finished now a few more days now and the place should be finsihed.
    I cant wait!!!!!
The bathroom will take a little longer but not much, maybe its finished by next week??? Its supposed to be

I ordered some black side tables for the bed also. Not the once we saw in the shop last week but some that fits better with the bed.

We got the curtains up in the bedroom and some furniture.
We put up some black blinds in the kitchen today and started to fill it with stuff which has been in boxes since we arrived from Spain.

I might go and get a LED Tv next week

    How was your Thanksgiving???

    Hi Lars

I guess I won't worry about going to the movies for 2012 then. Special effects I can get at home now with my Blu-Ray and HD TV

I just bought Angels & Demons in Blu-Ray yesterday. I'll have to decide whether to wait until Mike comes home to watch it or not

I did see the sneak peek of the pictures "A" posted on FB! Beautiful! It will be so nice not to have construction going on for a bit. You need to take a break and enjoy the holiday season

Wow, you're really moving along with getting everything situated also! I love TV shopping It's the research before shopping that can be overwhelming

Thanksgiving was good. MIL came down with a cold, so SIL delivered turkey dinner with all the trimmings to us here. We were able to make some headway with our leaves...well that was until Friday morning and yesterday when the 40 mph winds arrived and we now have the neighbors leaves to rake up It's all good though, hopefully this coming weekend we can finish up the leaves and install the lights. Mike is up the mountains so no work has happened here since Thanksgiving. I also hope to put up some Christmas decorations next weekend. We took the majority of things up the mountains last year when we had the house listed for sale and they're still up there so Mike has to bring them back down here for me when he comes home this week.

    Hi Lars TGIF!

Boy it's been such a busy week! I've had my fill of this cold (having trouble getting rid of this one) banks, financial info, and meetings I'm exhausted! I did call the Dr yesterday and they asked me if I could come in today or tomorrow, I told them "no, I have a meeting Thursday and a settlement Friday" the girl said but you're sick and I said "well, I don't think they care" I was able to get the Dr to call me in a prescription for an antibiotic so I'm now taking that and I hope it will help me get rid of this thing once and for all.

MIL's settlement on the new house is tomorrow, so once that's done I'm hoping things calm down on the MIL front At least my responsibilities will , that is until her tax returns need to be prepared

Mike came home from the mountains this afternoon and he brought all the Christmas decorations with him. I don't know if I really wanted them all right now, (I need to go through them this weekend now because there are containers taking up the entire garage ) but he was worried that we'd be missing an essential part of the tree or something similar.

We had our annual reviews at work today during the meeting and all is well in that department. We'll be getting our Holiday Bonuses and it hasn't been that great a year financially. Even though it's been a busy and downright nutty year, I feel very fortunate.

Mike mentioned that he wants to install the garage lights this weekend I still need to take a picture of our garage door so I can post it too, I better do that quick before the lights are up and I have no "new garage door, before the lights" pictures We've now decided to wait until January to rip out the kitchen. We'll probably order the appliances and cabinets sometime this month, but if we start ripping out, Christmas dinner here could be interesting.

How are things going on your place? You're in the home stretch now

Have you been researching TV's? What size are you going with?

I love ours, especially when using the 1080p HD settings. We watched Angels & Demons tonight on Blu-Ray and the picture is just amazing The surround sound isn't too shabby either, Mike and I both jumped when sound shot out of the one speaker from it scaring us! The movie was really good. The biggest problem though is that I am now desperate to get back to Italy! Of course most of the movie is by the Vatican, thereby making me really anxious

Are you busy planning for your April cruise? Or are you busy with your Christmas planning?

    Hi Lars

DH knows someone who knows someone, so I got to see New Moon and 2012 over the weekend. Both were pretty good, but I doubt any Oscar nominations will happen from them Well maybe for the special effects

I hope you had a great weekend!

MIL did make settlement Friday afternoon and then we were at the new house for a few hours before going out to dinner.

Saturday I found out that I had computer problems with every computer in this house, currently there are 2 desktops and 3 laptops and each one decided to have "issues" of some sort The problems got worse when the router joined the fray and then we lost the TV's sat signal.

I think I have 4 of the 5 computers up and running now, still need to work on the last one sometime this week. I think the router either did a new software upgrade or is starting to go bad. I should know in a few more days if I need a new router. Our sat signal issue was caused by the wet snow stuck on the dish.

Since we didn't have much technology functioning, we got quite a few things done on the house My garage lights and the new outside light by the front door are up and I put up my Christmas tree and the outside Christmas lights. I still need to get some lawn type decorations and put decorations on the tree, but I should get that done this week or weekend

Here's some pictures of the new Garage Door and Lights It's our first "final" project and not a temporary sprucing, so I'm excited

Oh, I almost forgot, we got our first snow yesterday. It was a minor storm, but just enough for me to take lots of pictures of the house today with snow for my Christmas cards
