Well, I was packed, but my hair straightener had other ideas

Right in the middle of using it, all of the sudden one half just came apart

Note to hair straightener users: Don't try to fix a hair straightener if it breaks while using it and hasn't cooled down yet!

I had to grab the travel one out of the suitcase and now I'm worried that I'm going to forget the darn thing so I think I have to make a quick run to a store tomorrow for a replacement so I can pack the travel one. I don't like not having things that are supposed to be packed, not packed

I actually debated running around to a 24 hour drug store, but Mike's expression told me how nuts he thought that idea was since I don't leave until Tuesday

I was at the drugstore yesterday! It's a conspiracy I tell ya!

Judy, This year has raced by superfast. Before we know it we have to start decorating for Christmas and go shopping for presents.
I think I am going to make it very easy this year....How, I`m not sure about yet

I still have a cold. I went home from work on Saturday after 2 hours. I didnt feel well at all. Yesterday I felt better. Today I am not sure how I feel

I have to take the dog to the hairdresser at 9am!!!

Back from the dog hairdresser and Vidar does not look to happy at all

We got him a raincoat and a fleece sweater, still, he looks aufended!!
The rain coat is a full body type of thing. There are holes for all 4 feet and it zips up on the top

He hates it

- The fleece sweater has gotten the shewing treatment already.
I presume he gets used to it soon

Hi

I'm afraid to ask if I can squeeze anything else into today

I almost forgot about my Dr. appt this morning! They called to remind me Friday, but my brain is on other things and that was so long ago

so I forgot all about it until I got in to work this morning and looked on my calendar

I've been running back & forth to work all morning it's a good thing my work is flexible! I had to get fuel on the way into work, then left to go to the Dr & pick up my prescriptions, I'm now back here for another 45 minutes or so and need to go to Mom's for 1/2 hour, then the bank and the store for the hair straightener then I'll be back here until I realize I forgot something else

Somehow I've managed to get some work done too!

I'm now waiting for a call back from my insurance agent and it's been an over an hour now. I hope she calls before I start round 2 of running

A friend was getting rid of a pick-up truck so we now have vehicle #4...there is just the 2 of us with no kids so I don't know if Mike is starting a collection or something?

Eventually the truck will end up at the mountains where it's almost 1/3 of the price to insure it vs. down here in the City.

Christmas will be easy for us this year, we're pretty sure we'll be in the middle of renovating the kitchen, I don't see us waiting too much longer

so that will be our gift to each other. We do a white elephant gift exchange in Mike's family so I just need to buy for the little ones who aren't in the exchange. In my family it's just 4 people to buy for.

Since the hair straightener is my travel one it never leaves the suitcase until I'm travelling so it's messing with me! I don't like it one bit!

I am excited about the cruise and getting to meet everyone

Although, I really wish things would calm down around me...and soon!

I hate having a cold, it just makes ya feel blah.

I didn't want to do anything for my birthday, since I'm going away on the cruise. I spent the weekend completely redoing my kitchen layout. There were a couple things I was on the fence about in the first draft and now I like this layout much better

Poor Vidar! I bet if he goes outside in the snow one time without a sweater or coat and feels that cold he'll like those clothes then!

It is funny to see their looks though, you can just read their minds!

Judy, please tell me you are done running around and ALL packed and ready to go??!!!
Now its time to relax and enjoy your 10 days cruising........You are really doing alot

2 cruises, a house move and a refurb in less then 5-6 months!!! WOW.

We have no workers in the house today. The Carpenter left around noon saying he had nothing to do until after the electrican has put down heating in the bathroom floor and fixed all the contacts etc in the kitchen.
Well, I can think of a few things he could do but I let him go. Now I am a bit p`d off I let him go so early

We did go out and ordered 2 chairs and an ottoman (for using while watching TV)
The shop promises to deliver before Christmas

We got it in a deep burgundy/purple colour.......The colour is Mauve

I think it will look lovely with our grey walls and white listwork

I have the chairs for the watching tv ordered, now I only need a new tv

So, YES, Christmas will be very easy this year.

So you are starting to renovate the kitchen right before Christmas???

..and you will be living in the mess during the holidays???

WOW, I have to admire you for that. I uderstand not wanting to wait to start the refurb but isnt it nice to have a more or less "normal" house then???
I might not be the right person to ask this thos

I don't know what the heck I do when I select passwords

But, I couldn't remember my password for the life of me and I had to reset it so I could pick something I would remember in case I decide to hop on here to check-in while onboard Ruby

I am all packed, well I have 2 small things I need to throw into the carry-on that are liquid so they have to go into my little 3-1-1 bag...but other than that I am packed

I'm waiting for phone calls from people that are not cooperating today

Oh well, if I don't hear from them before I leave, the one Mike will have to take care of.

I'm so tired

It's a good thing that nothing else is on my calendar travel wise because I don't think I could mentally handle it right now!

Congrats on the TV chairs and good luck on finding the right TV

A day of no noise is probably nice for you right now, although I know you are getting to the point of just wanting it done! I don't blame you, you've got a lot going on too!

We've decided that since it's a pain to try to use the existing kitchen we may as well get started soon. We have a couple things we want to get done before we start that big project, but Mike seems to think that he may have those things done while I'm away on Ruby. We've also decided to rip out the powder room at the same time as the kitchen since it's wetbed tile and will make a mess and we'll have the dumpster here for the kitchen anyway. We may be starting it after MIL's settlement on her new place which is scheduled for Dec 4th.

Mike just came in so I'm going to spend some time with him before he takes me to the airport. Try to behave while I'm away.....then again there's no fun in that!

Well, things here are almost finished. I recon another week at the most except for the bathroom. We are waiting for a "spceial" window which will arrive in a week or so!!!
So far I am really pleased with what I see

Anyway, get settled in at home and then get ready for your new duties
