Thread: Alaska 8/10/2008

I'm going to be taking 2 of the grandkids (6 &9) on this one for their first cruise.
Anyone out there going too?

How wonderful that you are taking your grandkids to Alaska! It's my favorite itinerary---done it 5 times!

I hope some of our folks will be joining you.

Never having actually been ON a cruise before (soon to be remedied!!!!), I can't speak for the cruise part, BUT... I went to Alaska last August, and had a BLAST!!! Among many other places, I got to spend some time in Whittier, where I saw a HUGE cruise-ship moored!!! You will LOVE the late sunshine this time of year, and the Northern Lights should be starting soon!

The flora and fauna of the lower 48 PALE in comparison of the whales, caribou, dahl's sheep et al that make this place magical!

In short, you and your grandkids will fall in love with Alaska!
