Thread: Star Princess, Baltic 9/9/2007

Anyone going on this cruise? Or is it too early yet?

We now have a third person going with us, Karen's sister, Janet. Had to change rooms as ours didn't have room for 3. Kinda looks like we will be the only ones on the ship!

I'm not going on that particular trip, but I can tell you lots of details about the area if you have questions.

Have you been there before? I thought it was fantastic...would love to go back someday!

Thanks THL, I will keep that in mind as we get closer. If your info is as good as your Med cruise review, I'm sure I will enjoy reading what you have to say. Right now the only tours we have talked about is seeing the city, the Hermatage, and some palaces.
I'm thinking it will be cooler than I like it (this MN person loves the hot weather cruises). Not sure the kinds of clothes I will need but still excited about seeing all those places,

We now have a 4th person to share our room, Karen's other sister Janice. I am thinking we will change to a balcony room. Even though I smoke, I usually have a non smoking room. With all 4 of us being smokers, I think I will need to open that door for better ventilation.
Gee, it's getting close, only a year and 2 days!

Just thought I'd bring this up again as the cruise is getting closer and we have been checking out the ship tours. Anyone out there gonna be with us on this cruise?

We also were just in the Baltics last late spring. Like Texashorselady, I would be happy to share what we did in each city. We took NONE of the ships tours, as my DW and a friend orgainized everything ahead of time. One of the highlights in Stockholm is the Vasa Ship Museum. That is a must see!!

WOW, real live folks going on this cruise!!! I was beginning to think we were the only ones!

WE have some tours picked out that we are interested in for St Petersberg, but haven't desided on any yet. Want to have general tour of the city, see the Hermatage and Catherines Palace, and we don't want to spend a lot of money. I was really surprised at the high cost of many of those tours there. So what is your tour about?

I have been having problems getting on CLF lately so not on as often but I will be back to this thread more often now that I know someone else will be posting here.
