Here is the response I received regarding the stairs and accessability. There is not an elevator, and he only gave an estimate of stairs.
Dear Angie,
Unfortunately St. Thomas and in particular Paradise Point is very mountainous. We have a way for handicap access which includes taking a taxi to the top and riding the skyride from top to bottom and returning instead. Our observation area at the top is accessable this way as well.
There are indeed many stairs from the street level to the base station (about 25). At the top there are about the same number to see all of Paradise Point too.
Please contact us shortly before you arrive and we will assist you to experience the fun and view at the top as best we can.
