Just wondering if anyone has used taxi service from the pier to Megan'Bay? It seems that Princess charges $25 for the tour and I'm sure we could do this on our own for a lot cheaper.
It is much cheaper to take a taxi, (about $8 last time we were there) and usually a much more pleasent ride. Just walk off the boat and and catch the taxi right there near the ramp. There's also a taxi stand in Haverstock Mall, next to the pier. Have some singles available because ther is an admission into the park. $3 last time we were there. Getting back is just about as easy. traffic is not too bad on St T but still allow yourself time. We suggest going to the beach in the morning as there are often afternoon rains.

Just me little side note We were comming back from shopping at 3:30pm "All Aboard" was at at 4:30pm and we ran into alot of traffic, it took us 45 minutes to get back, so maybe it depends on when you visit, we were there in May '05. Just some FYI
Many years ago, I went to St. Thomas and took a cab up to the overlook of Magan's Bay. it was worth it. We are going to St. Thomas in November and plan to go to the beach there. The view was stunning, and it's worth a ride up there on your way to the beach. Great photo opp!

K&D I have posted a couple pictures we took on our taxi ride from Megan's in my gallery.
We found that mornings are a better time to go to Megan's, we've been rained on when we went in the afternoon.
