St Thomas Tour

If you haven't been to St Thomas before may I make a suggestion. My wife and I booked an all day tour of St Thomas from Godfrey. His web site is www.godfreytoursvi.com . He meets you at the dock (card with you name on it to find him) and takes you into the city for shopping in the AM, roughly 2-3 hours. Then picks you up where all the tour vehicles park and takes you on a complete island tour showing the highlights of St Thomas, this lasts about 2 hours. He will then drop you off at one of three beaches, one being Megans Bay, for 2 hours and then brings you back to the ship. I believe he is actually from Barbados but lived on St Thomas a long time. Very accomodating, will run earrands for you if neccessary. One woman in our group bought a ring that had to be sized. He went back to the store and got the ring while the woman was at the beach. The kicker is that it only costs $20.00 each for the day which is paid at the end of the tour. I thought it was a bargain and tipped him generously. Much cheaper than booking a tour on the ship.

We saw the incredible view from the area above Megan's Bay but chose to go to Coki beach which was much less crowded. I have to say that I think all the water around St. Thomas is spectacularly clear and lovely to swim in, so you can't go wrong!

Megan's Bay is pretty, but we liked Trunk Bay on St. John even better! I have seen many people with the picture of Trunk Bay from the overlook on their computers. Next time we are trying Cinnamon Bay because we have heard great things about it, too.

Have a great time!
