St. Thomas is known for it's shopping. The duty allowances are quadrupled here for alcohol/cigarettes and doubled for other items you purchase. per person duty free allowance is usually $800, but increased to $1,600 when your purchases are from the US Virgin Islands.
Do you know which port you will be docked at? Since it doesn't appear you're looking for something swimming related, if you're docking at Havensight, there is a Skyride to Paradise Point. There are also tours to sightseeing spots.

I don't know what port we will be docked at. I did find a tour thru SunnyListontours.com. The skyride seems interesting. Thank you.

Cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy retirement!!
Stopped counting after 110 cruises.

According to the St. Thomas schedule, you will be docking at the main pier...the West Indian Company Dock which is where Havensite is located.

Thanks for the info Yonnie!![]()
Thank you everyone. I'll feel everyone in on how the cruise went, when we get back. Again Thank You.
A little late here, I too suggest Paradise Point, we are going there in about a week on our cruise.
Here is a similar photo I took as well.

Well we went to St. Thomas. Got off the ship went to the beach, a little over crowded. Wife got sick, went back to ship early. Didn't see nothing else. What I did see was great, but had to take care of DW.
We have been 6 times. we always get godfrey tours. very nice man and very reasonable. you pay when the tour is over. He takes you shopping sightseeing and then to the beach. I believe it is 4 1/2 hours. it cose 20 or 25 depending. i highly recommend him.
we will be in St Thomas March 2. We are trying to find an excursion to St John from St Thomas. Ayy suggestions will be welcomed.
