I was saddened on my last trip to see some of the great murals painted on the roadside walls have seemed to fallen into disarray. The one that stands out the most for me is at the end of Long Bay Road, almost across from Havensight and the Wendy's, in front of the Pueblo. I remember seeing this being painted and it is now faded and cracked.

The other that was completely gone was the one at the bus stop on Bovoni Rd, where it meets Redhook Rd. If I recall there used to be a painting of Bob Marley that replicated his "Oppression" album front cover. This is the stop across from the Esso, in front of the never finished bridge.

Any news if these will be restored/redone?

Scot, do you have any pictures of them to share with us? I don't recall seeing them.

Char, thats' the problem some of the murals are so faded and bad looking you probably wouldn't notice them.

I don't have any pics I can recall, but one of the artists is featured in an old St. Thomas Tourist Video my parent bought when I was a kid.

Scott I don't remember the one in Bovoni, but the one in Havensight I no is really not in good shape, some road work is going on in that area now for the pass 6 months or so, so maybe when the work is done they will do some thing with those paintings...I HOPE.
