I went to one of the shopping talks on the Caribbean Princess and then the next day we were in St Thomas. We decided to take a taxi to the Ferry and went to St John took another taxi to a famous beach which was beautiful. We we came back to St Thomas we only had about an hour to shop. I had all my shopping coupons with me and away I went. I love my black pearl necklace, which I purchased for CHEAP. I wear them all the time getting numerous complements every time. I'm stopping there again on the Emerald in December 08 and you can bet I'm going back and buying more for me and gifts. Wish I had more time.

conrad - I was asking about art.

I have a couple of blank spaces on my walls that need narrow, but tallish paintings. I was hoping to look to see if St Thomas might have something to fill one of them. I am NOT looking to spend a fortune at all... just want something pretty to hang on my wall. Preferably something with some of that beautiful WATER in it.

Is there a good chance I will be able to find something there?
And would I be able to have it shipped back home for me, or would I need to take it with me?

Just out of curiosity . . . What do you think is the most popular inexpensive souvenir that people like to buy in St Thomas?

A lot of the stores in town will ship anything you buy back home for you and I'm more then sure that you will find a nice piece of art here, but I don't know if it's going to cost you a arm n a leg to get it, you would have to determine that for yourself.
Inexpensive popular.......T-SHIRTS, LOL. Tough one there, wow.

Conrad, I love your island. Back in 2004, I rented a condo at Secret Harbor and stayed there for two weeks. It was the best vacation I ever had!!!!! You live in Paradise. I can't wait to see it again. I'll be there in October!
