Caribbean4me .... Noticed you just joined. Welcome to CLF! It's good to have you here!
There was a sign posted: Maximum Passengers -- 50 Adults, 8 Children
There were 47 on ours (plus the 3 crew). It was not crowded at all. There were plenty of places to sit and we could get up and walk around freely which was a real plus.
Please feel free to ask if you have any other questions!
Glad to hear it wasn't too crowded, it must be a pretty big schooner to fit that many people!
Did you have time to do anything else while in St Thomas? The GF and I would also like to take the Gondolas up to Paradise point, but we're not sure there will be enough time.
Either way, after reading you're review we think we're going to book this excrusion. Less than a month to go until we sail and we can't wait!!!!
Really, it's an All Day thing so you won't have time to do much if anything else in St.Thomas. Do keep that in mind if it's important to you.
Honestly, we've never been on a shore excursion that everyone seemed to enjoy as much. Did you check out their web site? Everyone we met on this excursion remained our friends for the rest of the cruise!

Hanna .... Your DH could be totally in the shade the entire time EXCEPT for the short dinghy ride from the boat to the island.

We are considering Emerald Princess for a B2B next year so will look at the shore excursions offered and try to tell you which that was we saw ....
The Princess Shore Excursion we saw is "Harbor Cruise & Beach Break". It's a 3 1/2 Hour Excursion on a double deck boat. They had a water slide and fun big floats.
On Emerald B2B the one port on both itineraries is St.Thomas so we're going to try their excursion there one of the times. Gosh, it looked so fun!

[quote=LuLu;1015671]Back on the schooner it was Party Time! Unlimited beer, painkillers, etc. (Cokes, fruit punch, and water were available throughout). The chips and salsa were really good -- great salsa!
Everyone got one of those temporary tattoos. I did NOT want one ... but it seemed like the thing to do at the time. (They don't come off with soap and water ... but, fortunately, rubbing alcohol works.)
The schooner anchors at Water Island for lunch and beach/swim/snorkel time. There are two ways to get to the beach. You can swim or you can take the dinghy. DH swam. I took the dinghy with our beach bag, etc. (They would take beach bags in the dinghy for those swimming.)
Lunch was being grilled on the island for us when we arrived. The had pork ribs, chicken breasts, macaroni salad, cole slaw, etc. Everyone raved over the chicken! The three women doing the cooking were very nice and clean. They kept things packed in ice. Also, noticed that when the macaroni salad got down to less than half, they would throw it away and pull out another. The food was good and no one got sick!
continued ....
Lulu - Thanks for the great information. I have a question for you. Is the drinks included all day or just on the boat?

The drinks were INCLUDED for the entire day. They took drinks from the boat to the beach! No Problem!

LuLu - Thanks again for the information. I have a group of 20 going on the cruise and we are really looking forward to the trip. I just booked this excursion for my family which includes my son 12 and my daughter 9. The other two families of 4 went to book the trip and Royal is charging their kids adult prices. My sister kids are 13 & 14, her son is turning 14 that day and her daugther turned 13 yesterday and I can't believe they are charging them adult prices. They will not be drinking and they certainly won't be eating what an adult eats. I'm thinking about cancelling and trying to book outside of the ship. What do you think?
