Sapphire is much much much better for snorkling then magens, and if you snorkle at hull bay you have to take a boat out are a kayak out......I think.

Is there a cost to enter the beach or is that cost when you rent a chair?

As said take a cab to the beach, end up being a few bucks cheaper then the 39 bucks ( I assume that is the cost to get in too? ) and you leave when you want. Also it said it does not include the skyride up to Paradise Point, that was about 20PP If I remember correctly... So, unless you plan to walk (must be nuts) you have to add 20pp. I did enjoy Paradise Point by the way, a little upset we only had a few minutes up there.

Yes jsme the beach costs money, I forget, but well worth it... The chairs are extra, I forget the price of that too.. I want to say something like 5+5 deposit, maybe more??? Anyone remember the price of the beach and the chairs?

Magens Bay is a must see, so sorry I only brought a cheap disposable, You can bet I wont next time!

We have been to St Thomas before and loved Sapphire Beach. Our guide let us see Magen's Bay but we did not enter. I thought I remembered him saying there was a fee. I just could not remember the amount. I was thinking somewhere between 5-10.

Conrad beat me to the post, but I would agree if you want to snorkle then go to Sapphire Beach.

For a great view on the way back ask the driver to go on Skyline Drive and make a stop at the scenic overlook. You're much higher than Paradise Point. The same can be done on the way back from Megans, but it's slightly out of the way.

If you go to Megens Bay have lunch there. Something about Megens Bay pizza we just can't get enough of

A few things about Megens Bay to note: It's a National Park and you will be charged a separate fee, besides the taxi fee to enter the park. This is $4 a person and is usually collected additional by the driver. The money goes to perserve the park.

Also if you rent a lounge chair, float or anything else remember you have to leave a returnable deposit. I don't recall the actual amount, I think it was like $10 a lounge and $5 a float deposit. As I said you'll get these back, but not until the items are returned, which can possibly make issues with your daily cash flow.

We perfer to sit to the left of the resturant/bar area (to your right if your in the water) as we find it to be alittle more quiter, although on a busy day with a few ships in port, there is no quiet place at Megdns.

My thoughts on Paradise Point- it's nice.......if you're a tourist. The view is great, but there are many spectacular views on St. Thomas. If you go to Megens up Rt 35 on Mafolie Hill you'll get a enough views for a lifetime just on the way to and from. Almost every bend and twist in the road will provide a great view of either Charlotte Amalie or the BVI depending which side of the island your on. About the Bushwacker... Paradise Point claims to have invented them, but almost any bar on the island will make them. I haven't had one yet I didn't like
