St. Martin Beach Question

In St. Martin, I want to go to the beach in the morning and shop in the afternoon. I am thinking of either Great Bay or Mullet Beach. How far is Mullet Beach from the ship, and how do those two beaches compare? Thanks.

Mullet Beach is about a 30 minute bus ride.....a taxi is a liilte quicker but more $. The buses will pick you up on Back Street and drive you right there, for $1.50 / person. Maho Beach (same area) has a neat feature:

I really don't like Great Bay. When we were there, there was seaweed and the water was more churned up than other beaches. The sand wasn't soft, either.

We have been to Orient and Dawn and they are much nicer.

Last time we did the America's Cup Regatta in the a.m. and then spent the p.m. at Dawn. Dawn is close enough that you could do it in the morning and then shop in the afternoon.

Enjoy which ever beach you go to!

Sheffie - I was planning to go to Dawn but then I read that it wasn't really good for swimming. Did you find that to be true? Because of that, I am now leaning to Mullet.
