Is there an excursion for this beach on any of the cruiselines???

Save the Money Grab a Cab...Hit that section around 12:30....The 747s land around 1:00.....Nice Bar right there for drinks and food....

Sunset Beach Bar & Grill is a great place to hang out and watch the planes land. Be careful about the upper body nudity that is prevalent here. And it is not just the men.

Sue .... Can't remember any cruise lines offering an excursion there and I do check out the shore excursions.

The only time I've been to Maho Beach was briefly (to watch a plane) on a land trip. You really do see airplanes flying in VERY VERY closely. Some like this beach more than others.

I didn't see anyone topless ... but, I was watching the plane.

If you want to see just how close the jets come to the beach, do a search on YouTube for the St. Maarten airport landings. Several interesting clips there.

Sue I think we are going to head down there for a short visit when we are there in April. We are looking at a couple of tours as well.

I read on the dark side that the Sunset Bar had closed due to tax evasion but someone else was opening it up.

Sun set Beach Bar had closed, However the new owners had open and is presently renovating, It is still the hottest spot with trills and blast in St Maarten, as you be a plane watcher. Can I suggest you do an Island Tour there is some that offers and take you to the sunset beach bar just in time for the Arrival of KLM and AIR FRANCE and the departure of the 747's.
