The place in St Maarteen to go to I was told was Kon-Tiki.
Fodor's Review:
Thatched roofs cover the booths at this happening beach bar and restaurant on beautiful Baie Orientale. The food runs the gamut from marinated tofu with shiitake mushrooms and seaweed to local Caribbean fare and seafood. Service is friendly, and the food is delicious. There is one potential problem: nude bathers occasionally walk by making it somewhat difficult to concentrate on your meal. An added bonus: you can book a variety of water sports at the restaurant.
The guy told me the french side is better then the dutch. Is it because of the nudist beaches or are they all over the island? Better watch our girls..........don't want them stripping their bikini tops off.

The orient beach is a long white sand beach with different names there is Waikiki, Bikini beach, Kau kau, Kontiki and the most Famous Orient beach.
Behind the orient beach is a nudist colony “The Orient club” (it’s a hotel) therefore most of the nudity is on the orient side of the beach however it is not a big surprise if you are on Bikini, Waikiki, Kontiki or any of the other names on this strip of beach to occasionally see someone passing with their family jewels hanging. Nudity is not prohibited on the French side of the Island.
We do have a good understanding on St Maarten / Saint Martin The way I see it since gambling is prohibited on the French side of the Island. You can gamble all you want on the Dutch side as long as you don’t take your clothes of and you walk around on the French side as nude as you want as long as you don’t gamble.
Now for me to take mines off is a gamble so I don’t do either of the above.
Are you planning to visit St Maarten/Saint Martin make sure you are able to say you’ve seen it all & done it all with Perla of Preferred Tours & Transfers St Maarten. For your private and Semi private Tours with shopping & beach stops http://www.preferredtoursstmaarten.com/index.html
The markets on the island and walking through the Dutch oldtown area are unlike anything else in the Caribbean. Different flair from the more traditional ports.
Sounds good Neal especially since we sail early on that day.
I still think that Neal's suggestion is great. I will have to keep an eye on my girls, no tops coming off of them!! My oldest daughter has very big ta-tas and that wouldn't be very good considering she is only 16!!
So I wonder why the customer told me the french side is better. Is it the nudity or the nice white sand beaches? My 16 year olds ta ta's are too nice for them to see too.
