Question The LEGAL Drinking Age is 18, right?

Let's take care of a question our younger members may find of interest!

(We were all young once .... )

From what I remember, on the Dutch Side, St.Maarten, 18 is the Legal drinking age for every alcoholic beverage... not just beer and wine. (Remember, this is while on land ... the policy of the ship does not change when on board... no matter which port.)

Yes it was, Do you know that where it might be Illegal for people to walk on the street drinking a Cold beer in some states it is OK to do so in St Maarten as a cool of from our warm, sunny days.

Not 100% on topic, but you may find this information useful. On Cunard the legal age for drinking alcohol on board is 18, as it is in the UK. However, when in American waters they raise the age to 21.

Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted to gamble or remain in the casino. Guests who are under 18 years of age are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol onboard. However, whilst in U.S. waters, Cunard Line enforces and abides by the U.S. legal drinking age of 21 years.
